Rather than the color being in the background the Chromatte fabric contains thousands of tiny aluminum coated glass beads that reflect light back to its source. The blue light required to Chroma key is provided by a camera-mounted ring of LED’s, the LiteRing. The low (10 watt) light emitted from the LiteRing is bounced back off the Chromatte fabric straight into the camera lens. The camera therefore sees the background as an even colored blue backdrop. With the LiteRing on the camera lens, alignment is never a problem. The control box allows adjustment of the output of the LiteRing for perfect balance in all situations.
